Case Consultation
Counsellors, psychologists or other mental health professionals sometimes seek a clinical sounding board or new perspective on their work. Case consultation is available on a one-time or continuing basis, depending on your needs.
Case consultation can assist with:
* practice issues related to clients’ needs
* support for working through ethical dilemmas, and development
of strategies and options for ethical decision-making
* improving aspects of clinical practice such as office policies,
documentation, or record-keeping
Support for Professionals
Professionals coping with problems or troubling circumstances often need help getting back on track. Feelings of isolation and distress are commonly experienced by regulated professionals when coping with complaints or disciplinary action.
Assistance can take the form of:
* individual therapy to address personal problems that are
interfering with professionalism
* work to increase awareness of professional boundaries and
strategies for ethical decision-making
* supportive therapy while moving through formal regulatory
processes
